The Russians blame the Americans; The Americans blame the Syrians; The Syrians blame the Americans.
But this is NOT a blame game. If it was, then the list of world "leaders" who shared the blame would be VERY very long.
From Angela Merkel who is trying to screw Greece into the ground while it tries to help refugees on the front line of the crisis to David Cameron and George Osborne, whose weasel words about how much aid the UK sends to refugees in Turkey and Jordan disguises how little they are willing to help those just 21 miles away in France.

You could include Viktor Orban who, seeing refugees heading for safety in his country, ordered huge barbed wire fences to be erected. That led to a cascade of fences going up across the EUs “border-free” lands.
And then there's Vladimir Putin who's solution to everything is to throw bombs at poeple. Selfish men and women motivated by their own self-interest and ambition, with no morals or sense of doing the right thing.
And NONE of that matters when you consider the refugees, half of them children under 16, who risk deadly boat rides across perilous seas, who trek for hours across hostile countryside. People don’t do that just because EU welfare systems are better than those in Syria or Iraq.
They do it because people are hurling bombs at them and they HAVE to get to safety.
These refugees are human beings. We would hope someone would help if the tortures they are suffering happened to us.
So let us open our borders and let them in. It is the ONLY response that can be justified.
